St Michael's World Apostolate

IN THE CENTER of the beautiful but solemn visage of Our Lady of the Roses, multiple raindrops form the beads of a Rosary that meet at Our Lady's nose. (Thank you to Vinny from Rhode Island and the Saint Padre Pio Prayer List Group for that keen eye.)

The brutal Palm Sunday Rosary Vigil (March 23), when the photo was taken by Michael Mangan, SMWA President, was not for the faint-hearted. It was a biting cold, driving and soaking rain for 3 hours that penetrated to the bone. Wind gusts were over 40 mph (photo below).

But it's all for the Cause.

As you know, since the start of the Russia-Ukraine War, over two years now, we have offered the 3-hour Rosary Vigils with two intentions in mind. For peace in the world, especially for the end to war in Ukraine but have also included, as current events unfold, the Middle East, Haiti and Sudan.

OF GRAVE CONCERN to us, and all of humanity, is the horrifying nuclear attack that Our Lady of the Roses has warned about for years, and declared: "Terror shall grip the nation." Our Lady has termed it the Great (or Terrible) Minor Chastisement that will devastate the United States and Canada with "the loss of great life." (March 26, 1983)

If you are keeping abreast of the news as Our Lady has asked us to do, than you know of the constant nuclear saber rattling emanating from Moscow by that madman and "2-legged demon," and his lieutenant, Dmitry Medvedev. (As Our Lady identified Gorbachev as a "2-legged demon" then it would certainly apply also to an immediate successor, the former head of the dreaded KGB. By your fruits you are known.)

Hence, the second intention is that we avert this nuclear catastrophe here or anywhere, for that matter.

ENTER THE HOLY ROSARY "The greatest power given to Me from the Father are your beads of prayer." As we prepare to celebrate and give thanks for the glorious feast of the Resurrection and Jesus' pouring out His life for you and me, it is the perfect time to renew our love and zeal for these pearls of prayer.

This simple but potent weapon of peace has won great military victories in the past, and must be recognized by the faithful. Every Catholic should be praying the daily Rosary. No excuses. No ifs, ands or buts.

Especially now with this fragile state of affairs. We are sitting on a tinderbox!

We leave you with the inspiring words of Our Lady of the Roses:

"It is not a prayer of repetition without meaning, Our Rosary, My children. It is a prayer that as you pray you will be surrounded by an aura of peace and holiness. You will find yourself coming closer to the Eternal Father in spirit." (May 17, 1975)
