You did a great job for many years—a
lot of outstanding, heavenly missionary work—you were Our Lady’s warrior wheels.
But it’s time to move on.
Jimmy, our local mechanic (who by the way returned to the
sacraments after receiving the rose petal and Message from us), announced that
the front axle of this white Ford Windstar, affectionately known as Whitey, is
about to fall off!
Goodbye, Whitey.
And hello new used car.
We are definitely going to need your help in raising
$18,000 for
Whitey’s replacement, that is another warrior wheels for Our Lady.
After all,
this car works 7 days a week for Our Lady’s Mission at Bayside. Whether it’s
transporting equipment and boxes of sacramentals to the Rosary Vigils and Sunday Holy
Hours at the Shrine, bringing your mail or orders to the post office, inventory
and supply pick-ups/drop-offs, pastoral visits for the aged and infirm or any number of other heavenly tasks, these
wheels get a grueling workout on the city streets (with lots of potholes, too).
We are looking for 18 kind and generous souls that can gift $1000
per; or 36 kind and generous souls that can gift $500 per; or 72 that can gift
$250. That's how we'll quickly reach the $18,000 goal and get the new
car on the road pronto.
Make no mistake about it: your $20 adds up, too.
Everything
matters! Every gift is a blessing. (All gifts are tax-deductible.) And all will
be generously rewarded by Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers, for sure,
because you are contributing for Her car.
Go to:
smwa.org/newcar. It's simple and easy and only takes a
couple of minutes to help Our Lady of the Roses with your kind and generous gift.
Or, you can call toll-free 888.830.SMWA (7692); or mail
your check to St Michael's World Apostolate P.O. Box 514
Bayside, NY 11361. Include in the memo: New car for Our Lady's Mission.
We look forward to hearing from you today.
God bless you and yours,
The Lay Order of St. Michael
