The Lay Order of St. Michael directs the Shrine

"THE ORDER OF SAINT MICHAEL WILL GO FORWARD THROUGHOUT  YOUR COUNTRY AND THE WORLD."

                                                                                Our Lady, June 18, 1974

SMWA: guardian of Shrine
The Lay Order of St. Michael (LOSM), a community of celibate men established by Veronica of the Cross, recognized by Jesus and Mary (June 6, 1987), and the founders of St Michael’s World Apostolate, have been appointed by Heaven as the sole guardian of Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers Shrine. This Shrine name was specifically given by Our Lady (March 24, 1973), for this holy site of pilgrimage and as a powerful title to be invoked in these latter days. LOSM will bring forth the religious Order of St. Michael prophesied by Our Lady (May 22, 1974).

Pope blessing
Under the direction of SMWA, prayer services are regularly conducted here (rain or shine), as requested by Heaven. The Rosary Vigils are held from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and the Holy Hours for priests every Sunday from 10:30-noon. Bring another pilgrim with you. When you arrive look for our big SMWA banner.
Providentially, this holy Shrine rests on the former site of the Vatican Pavilion where Pope Paul VI visited and blessed the faithful at the close of the 1965 World’s Fair. Today a large stone monument (or excedra) commemorates the site, about 150 yards south of a massive steel globe (below) in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens, N.Y. It is here where the Shrine is beautifully set up for each prayer service. Even so, whatever hour or day you come, Jesus and Mary have promised to be there for you.

Modesty of dress
This practice is held in the highest esteem by Our Lady and Our Lord. And so all good Christians should be vigilant in this regard, not only on the sacred grounds but also in their daily lives. Always observe the proper norms as established by the Vicars of Christ and Holy Tradition. Women must wear a dress or skirt below the knees and a head covering; no shorts or slacks are permitted. Men must wear loose-fitting clothes.

Rosary processions
May 9, 10:30 a.m., May Crowning of Our Lady at Sunday Holy Hour

And on the following Vigils at 7 p.m.:

June 19, July 31, and September 25 (candlelight procession; bring your own votive candle). Our Lady requests all pilgrims to wear white gloves.

    Our Lady kisses Rosary
The Mother of God kissed the crucifix of the Rosary that adorns the statue of Our Lady on October 29, 1994. We invite you to share in this supreme honor by kissing the crucifix yourself after the Sunday Holy Hour and Rosary Vigil.
