Meeting

Sunday  August 1, 2010   2:30 p.m.

Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel

James Donohue, LOSM leading in prayer to begin the meeting.

The pilgrims listening to the audio of Veronica's intense and bone-chilling visions of hell.

Our Lord sent Padre Pio to Veronica in the beginning of the Bayside Mission to give her strength and consolation. He remains a good friend and advocate of the Shrine.

Interestingly, just like Veronica of the Cross and Bayside have been victims of gross injustice, Padre Pio was too.

Four decrees were issued from 1923- 1926 by the Vatican which stated that it failed to find anything of a supernatural character regarding Padre Pio. He was a prisoner for years, forbidden even to pen letters to his spiritual children.

Lo and behold he is a canonized saint of the Roman Catholic Church which reminds us that our glorious day of vindication will come too. Hang in there!

Sensational Polaroid photo taken on March 17, 1990, by Sidney Brauner, shows the right hand of Padre Pio wrapped in bandages.

Throughout the weekend, we honored, invoked and petitioned these two brilliant lights of the Roman Catholic Church.

Padre Pio Soulmate: Every Lent from 1970 to 1995, Veronica shared in Christ's passion, which included experiencing the crucifixion of Our Lord.

Rudolph Woeroesch of Long Island City, N.Y., attentively listening.

Bill Dykes, LOSM, along with Michael Bauer of Cape Cod, Mass. (below), did a great job on the audiovisual.

The pilgrims looking under their chairs for a sticker to win a door prize: a framed picture of Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers.

Raelynn Quiambao picking the winners.

Ryszarda Kostrozynska won the beautiful St. Therese photo book.

Michelle Lowell was elated that she won the picture of Padre Pio.

Mary Ellen Panek of Huntington, N.Y. won the 50/50 first prize.

Dear Michael and Lay Order
of St. Michael,
It was a great 15th and well deserved for our beloved seer, Veronica of the Cross. Here's my tax-deductible gift which is very much needed to help cover the considerable expenses. Thank you in advance.
