Where were you when the lights went out?
Some of us had the privilege of being at the Shrine.
Welcome to Our Lady of the Roses, The Northeast was hit by the biggest blackout ever today. Only candles and spotlights and an occasional flashbulb from a camera provided any light for the Rosary Vigil. |

A beacon of light in the darkness. Certainly this catastrophic power outage was symbolic of the spiritual darkness that envelops the world today. Interestingly, the solution to dispelling this darkness is heeding Our Lady's Message of Bayside. |

| Only about 40 pilgrims could attend because the transit was a nightmare. The subways were shutdown, the busses were jammed and roadways were clogged. |

| Pilgrims bring roses to adorn the Shrine. Our Lady's Shrine helpers distribute them to everyone later in the evening. These roses are blessed by Jesus and Our Lady during the Rosary Vigil and have the power of cure and conversion. |
