Heavy Hand of God
The photo was taken of the Queens apartment buildings within view of the sacred grounds by Joe Burkhart, Jr., of Pittsburgh, Penna, at the Easter Vigil in 1980. This is the hand of God coming down in punishment upon the cities and the world. The hand has human fingernails, denoting Jesus in His human form. It is also a left hand. Jesus blesses with His right hand, so the left hand symbolizes chastisement. The interpretation was given by Veronica of the Cross.
