Prophecy is conditional, but . . .

SUCH IS THE NATURE OF PROPHECY that it is always subject to the freewill response of all human beings: "All prophecy given to you, My children, is conditional to man's response. Remember this in the days ahead" (Our Lady, September 28, 1976).

Heaven can change their mind, and often does, if the response of mankind merits it. We see this in a few prominent examples that Baysiders and others prayed away:

1973 WARNING: On December 29, 1973 Veronica announced to the pilgrims attending the Vigil that the Warning scheduled for December 28th had been delayed. "You had won a reprieve. . . . Your prayers and your sacrifices rose to Heaven." (Our Lady, February 10, 1974)

MONETARY CRASH: "within two years or less" (Our Lady, June 18, 1988)

THE GREAT CHASTISEMENT: "Within this century this Ball [comet] will be sent upon mankind" (Our Lady, June 18, 1988)

ANTICHRIST POPE: "He [Pope Paul VI] is not the antichrist pope. The next one shall be he" (Our Lady, May 30, 1978)   [Note: Pope John Paul I and John Paul II are not the antichrist pope.]

"THE WARNING IN '97" (Our Lady, February 5, 1994)

The conditionality of prophecy is expressed at least 20 times in the message, as seen in the excerpts below:

Conditionality

"All punishment upon mankind is conditional to the response of the multitudes."

Our Lady, December 24, 1979

"Within the miraculous picture [Jacinta 1972] is given the date by God the Father for the chastisement of mankind. All will be conditional to the response of mankind."

Our Lady, November 25, 1978

"Understand, My children, that all directions from Heaven are conditional to your response."

Our Lady, August 21, 1976

"All warnings are conditional to the response of mankind."

Jesus, August 14, 1976

"All of the direction given in warning is conditional to mankind."

Jesus, July 24, 1976

"All prophecy, My children, all warnings have been conditional, conditional to man's response."

Our Lady, June 24, 1976

"You must understand that all of these warnings given from Heaven are conditional to man's response."

Jesus, May 18, 1977

"All warnings were given as conditional."

Jesus, April 10, 1976

Veronica: Now everything is getting very dim, and there's a big question mark now forming in the sky directly over Our Lady's statue, a big question mark. It's strange. It's just like something is in the balance: will it happen, won't it happen; it's conditional, a big question mark. Something is pending in Heaven, something very, very catastrophic, and we're being asked: Is this what you want?

"Are we going to receive a reprieve, Blessed Mother?"

And Our Lady has bowed Her head down. She won't answer me. Now Our Lady is touching Her lips.

Our Lady: "You will continue, My child, with your prayers of atonement."

February 1, 1977

Veronica: Jesus said, "Much suffering shall be sent upon mankind unless, and I say unless," Jesus said--for all punishment is conditional to man's response--"unless there is penance and atonement to the Eternal Father for the abominations and sins being committed in your world."

April 8, 1976

Veronica: "Perhaps we can . . . hold back the coming Warning and Chastisement. All is conditional."

October 6, 1973

"The Warning will soon be upon mankind. You ask Me, My child, can it be stopped? Only by prayers and sacrifice shall it be held back, but the time is long overdue. . . . It is not to be asked for because you know it is coming, My children. It is to be prayed against."

Jesus, October 1, 1988

Can this [monetary crash] be stopped, My child? Anything can be if we can reach the people in time."

Jesus, October 1, 1988

We have given you the road away from these disasters; and that road is only guided by prayer, penance, and atonement."

Our Lady, March 18, 1989

An excellent example of the conditional nature of prophecy is found in the Book of Jonas in the Old Testament. The Eternal Father sent Jonas to the great city of Ninive to preach the word that "yet forty days, and Ninive shall be destroyed" (Jonas 3:4). Upon hearing this the inhabitants repented, did penance, and turned away from their sins: "And God saw their works, that they were turned from their evil way: and God had mercy with regard to the evil which He had said that He would do to them, and He did it not" (Jonas 3:10).

It is through prayer, sacrifice and atonement that the prophecies revealed by Our Lady in Her messages can be delayed, mitigated, or even called off. This truth was revealed by Jacinta, the child seer of Fatima, to Mother Godinho: "If there were souls who would do penance and make reparation for the offenses done to God, and works of reparation were instituted to make satisfaction for crimes, the chastisement would be prevented."

In order to save souls and to hold off chastisements, Our Lady came to Bayside to establish Her Shrine: "Make it known to mankind that We have chosen these grounds as a center for atonement" (Our Lady, October 6, 1974). "The balance for your nation and your state, My child, lies with the prayers that come to Us from your country and the world" (Our Lady, September 7, 1974).

Many souls have been saved due to the prayers that have risen to Heaven from this center of atonement‐prayers that have changed the course of events and have held back or even cancelled out predicted carnage. No wonder this Shrine has been a focal point of attack by satan as the prayers are a powerful force stopping his plans to destroy souls in hell for eternity.

"You see, My child, it will be a great battle against the forces of evil to pray, for satan knows that with prayer the souls will return to My Son. If he can stop the prayers, My child, he can regain Our beloved children, casting them into the abyss.

Our Lady, December 6, 1974

"You will pray constantly, My children. The prayers can reach Heaven in short time, and perhaps can stop the next tribulation."

Jesus, November 1, 1985

"Satan will seek to stop the prayers, the acts of atonement and sacrifice."

Our Lady, May 30, 1981

"Know that satan seeks to stop the prayers. Prayer is your greatest weapon, My children, now against the forces of evil that are set upon you."

Our Lady, May 17, 1975

"Should the prayers of atonement be discontinued on these sacred grounds, the Chastisement in earth time will be hastened. Prayer, atonement, sacrifice!"

Our Lady, April 14, 1973

Through the perseverance of Veronica of the Cross, countless prayers and sacrifices have risen to Heaven from Our Lady's sacred grounds by means of the Rosary Vigils and Sunday Holy Hours, and the Good Lord alone knows how many events predicted by Our Lady to Veronica have been held back or called off.  Who would wish that these predictions come true anyway?

St. Paul enlarges: "O the depth of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How incomprehensible are His judgments, and how unsearchable His ways! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been His counselor?" (Romans 11:33-34)

Veronica has said more than once: "Boy, They sure do change Their mind up there a lot, don't they?" And thankfully They do. Certainly any true Marian devotee knows that any delay in punishment is a gift from the Eternal Father Who is boundless with patience and kindness.

All the Good Lord ever asks of us as latter day disciples is to promote His Mother's message of truth and grace unconditionally, to the best of our ability, and especially free from the fetters of human respect and opinion that always frustrates God's Will: "Let them call you fanatics. Let them try to break you down. There's only one thing to say to them: I have my eyes on Heaven. Where do you cast yours" (Jesus, April 14, 1984).

We must always be on guard and keep the prayers rising to Heaven because, as Our Lady stated, "there are not enough prayers to stop the evil" (February 1, 1975). Our Lady further warned us that we "have been found wanting of all the graces necessary to prevent what I am to tell you will happen now in the near future" (March 18, 1989). We must offer our daily prayers and sacrifices for sinners.

Let September 11 be a reminder to all that unless there is sufficient atonement offered to God, then these dire prophecies of Bayside will, indeed, come to pass like the steps of a ladder and will accelerate unto the fury of the worldwide Warning and great Chastisement.

We do our job, and the rest is in God's hands.
